In 2026, the students of WSCF-US are taking up the Biblical charge to learn war no more (Isaiah 2:3-4). Through monthly events online and in person, we are defining what resistance to violence means for us as young Christians and embodying that resistance through our study and action. Embracing Isaiah 2:3-4 and Micah 4:3-4 as our guides for the year, we invite our community of learners and followers of Christ into conversation and action to deepen commitments to resistance against violence, fear, and oppression.

Movement Building and Communication
November 23, 2025 How do we build strong movements that withstand disagreement and diversity of opinion? What can we learn from the Bible's accounts of Christian movement building? At our November study event, we learned about nonviolent communication and dialogue skills, and discussed how they can be tools with which organizers can strengthen their communities. We were joined by WSCF's European Regional Secretary, Serena Tiburtini, and heard more about WSCF-US members' experience at the Frame the Future peacebuilding training in Sarajevo in October 2025. Spirituality of Resistance: Practices of Joy and Lament
October 16, 2025 As Christians, we have a rich tradition of practices to move us and center us as we stay engaged in a broken, beautiful world. Led by members of our Student Leadership Team and our National Organizer, we explored how spiritual practices sustain us to continue working for a New Heaven and New Earth in times of lament and times of joy. |
