About the Conference
Join students from across the US and around the world at the WSCF-US National Student Conference on September 15-18, 2022 at Princeton University. Keynote speakers will include Rev. Dr. William Barber, Rev. Dr. Wil Gafney, and Pastor Jin S. Kim.
Our conference theme "A New Heaven and New Earth" comes from Revelation 21:1, "Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more." Indian author Arundhati Roy has suggested that this time of intersecting global pandemics might be a portal, a gateway between one world and the next, if we are ready to fight for it.
As the US and world continue to confront the moral injustices of poverty, white supremacy, empire, and ecological devastation - all of which have been further exposed and exacerbated by the ongoing COVID-19 global pandemic - how do we, as Christians, organize and build a movement toward the creation of a new world?
WSCF students are committed to exploring ways of living out our faith in this pivotal moment, being radically inclusive, globally engaged, and grounded in prophetic Biblical and theological traditions. Please join us in this exciting student-led movement for social transformation.
The conference welcomes:
Registration for students and young adults is $100 and includes:
Campus ministers, chaplains, and other academy-based religious affairs professionals are warmly welcomed to participate in this conference! There will be time set aside specifically for this group to meet together, convened by chaplains Scott Matheney from Elmhurst and Alison Boden from Princeton. We look forward to sharing about our ministries, gleaning new ideas from one another, strengthening each other for our good but demanding work, and naming the ways that the resources of the WSCF can support and catalyze the progressive Christian students among whom we serve.
Registration is open until September 1, 2022.
